Trainapup is the passion project of qualified veterinary nurse and experienced dog trainer Lydia, who has built a stellar reputation in Birmingham and beyond for exceptional animal care.
A range of qualifications
With significant experience behind her, Lydia took up a position with Cosford Dog Training in Wolverhampton, later securing a position of Lead Dog Trainer. Lydia has also enjoyed success at competitions across the UK, Working Dog Certificate of Excellence, winning two awards in Best Nosework in property search and tracking, and forming part of the winning Midlands team for Obedience at Crufts. Lydia also trains her own pet Malinois dogs, ex-police dog Diva and three-year-old Ajax.

With a distinct love for animals, Lydia kicked off her career in veterinary nursing back in 2013, becoming a BSc Hons graduate vet nurse five years later. Following years of developing and harnessing skills as a veterinary nurse, Lydia now works supporting various animals with expert care at a hospital in Birmingham.
Her Experience
Aside from her daily job providing exceptional care to animals across Birmingham, Lydia has become one of the area’s most well-renowned dog trainers. With over 10 years’ experience training dogs, Lydia obtained an Advanced Level qualification from the Pet Dog Training Institute (PDTI) and completed numerous classes for The Kennel Club under the Good Citizen Dog Training scheme, where she also serves as an examiner and young dog trainer.
And Her Company
With her background in veterinary expertise, Lydia officially formed Trainapup in 2021. The company sets out to deliver professional, private dog training lessons designed to address any issues you may be facing with your pet. Relying on proven industry methods and her veterinary background, Lydia is dedicated to offering customers training packages specifically tailored to your pet.
